The fabulous Jen tagged me for this, and I must obey. Here are "five idiosyncracies I have and am willing to own up to".
1. I never take the front item from a shelf when shopping. Because it's the one everybody touched and maybe dropped or otherwise damaged. I always have to find at least the second one back, whether it's cereal or a magazine or laundry detergent.
2. Once I start wearing flip-flops in the spring, I will go as long as humanly possible without wearing normal shoes again. Usually this lasts until the second or third rainy day of the fall, at which point I am forced to admit defeat and go buy cute sneakers so I can feel better about not wearing flip-flops anymore.
3. When I'm watching TV or listening to the radio in the car, the volume has to be at an even number.
4. It makes me absolutely insane when people don't use their turn signals. Sadly, this is a very common occurrence in L.A. One of the first memories I have from moving here is my friend Nick yelling "Have you people not heard of an INDICATOR?" when we were trying to get from LAX up to Woodland Hills.
5. Real-life injuries (and blood and gore) don't freak me out nearly as much as fake ones. I can't watch medical shows without getting totally squicked out, and descriptions in books are even worse. One of Amber's favorite things to do is to start describing a paper cut in such a way that I have to cover my ears and tune her out. *shudder*
Now I get to tag people! How about Daniel, Rachel, Rachel, Kate, and the other Jen.
