I dropped about half a cup of coffee onto my iBook on Tuesday. Despite the best efforts of myself and the awesome IT genius at work, it seems to be dead. I do at least have my data (although not my iTunes library, and thus not my awesome winter playlist that was supposed to be used to make holiday CD gifts this year.) The woman at Apple tech support also suggested I continue to let it dry out for a day or two, because there's a chance it will magically start up again. Kind of like when you thought someone was dead on Buffy and then all of a sudden in the next act they turned into a vampire instead.
So let's all keep our fingers crossed that I have a vampire iBook, because I can't afford to replace it right now. And if you were wondering what to get me for Christmas, the only thing on my list now is Apple Store gift cards.
